The Secret To Eternal Life: Long Term Bonds

Everyone wants to know how to get rich quick, but what do you do with all those Pbs when you become rich? The answer is: make more Pbs from your Pbs.
Long term bonds with NBIC are the perfect way to make your hard earned bucks work for you.
Although it can often be hard to part with your Pbs, it is certainly worth it and the more you have invested (depending on the amount of time its invested for) the more you can gain.
Once the lock in time is over, try to leave the pbs in the account for as long as possible as they will gain interest at higher rates.

HTML Help - Font Colour

HTML is not really as hard as it sounds and is the perfect solution to a boring page. Unfortunately, powerpets has limited the use of HTML codes, but here are a few that are allowed.

Font Colour

The basic code for font colour is:

<font colour="colour">The text you want coloured.</font>

You can use most colour names (such as blue, pink, yellow, red, green, etc.) or if you want something more specific, you can use hex codes. Hex codes are useful because computers arent smart enough to recognize lavender as a colour, as nice as it may be.

Here is a great hex code chart. (click on it to enlarge). When you use a hex code, make sure you put a # infront of the number - so the HTML code for it should look like this:

More Ways to Earn Pbs

Yes, I know what you're thinking. I have already posted a top ten list for earning Pbs - but ten is not enough for me. There are so many ways out there to make Pbs, you just have to be creative.
First of all, here are some Pb-making don'ts:

DONT make a scam website that asks for passwords (or anything as straightforward as that - yes that means emails as well or whatever other ideas you have). Everyone except the absolute newbiest of newbs knows that when someone asks for your password, its usually a scam. Besides, if the newbs are the only ones you can trick why even waste your time - theyre probably poor anyway, thats why they took a risk with your scam.
DONT beg for Pbs. It will only make you look like an idiot.
DONT waste your money on luck of the draw or any other outlandish schemes.
DONT run for mayor. Waste of time + Waste of Pbs = worse than buying scratch cards.

Ok, so now for what you can do to earn Pbs. (If you want the basics check out my Top Ten Powerbuck Making Schemes for some good ideas).

Rate Books. You can earn 50 Pbs per book - not much but it adds up.
Take Polls in the poll booth - 250 Pbs per poll but you can only vote once (again not much).
Design Postcards. If you are creative enough you can earn between 10,000 and 20,000 Pbs. Cards can only be entered once a month. For more info visit the Post Office in Xiang Chung-Shi.
One really important choice is between Eurobank and NBIC. Eurobank pays much higher interest but requires a minimum of 100,000 PBs to open an account and to recieve interest. NBIC has no minimum, and also has long term bonds available that have very high interest rates. To see more information on the banks, click here.

When you do this you should get the message:

Gekkies Greed Quest Guide

To start this quest you need all of the HealthPedias (just so you know, they include: bear, bird, bovine, cat, dog, elephant, mustelidae, primates, rabbit, wild canine and wild cats) in your bookcase and you must have read them.
Gekkie usually asks for weapons that really range in price from cheap to expensive, and information from the HealthPedias.
He gives out sticky puzzle pieces (there are 12 in total).

The Secret Library Room Quest

Its hard to miss that lovely little picnic planket outside the library in North New Barkston, click on it to find the details of this quest. You will meet Randy the not-so-secret librarian, and he will probably try to stop you from going into that room!
Before you start the quest (or after, if you were really curious), here are some facts:

This quest has no time limit, so you can take your time.
He will ask for some random food items.
In return he will give you a random PetPedia or Healthpedia.

Restocking Guide

Restocking is a really great way to earn PBs. You will need a fast internet connection to compete with the other restockers, but even if you dont it is still possible to earn money by restocking.
First of all, know where to look and what to look for. Most restockers have a favourite store that they specialise in. I would really reccommend choosing one only one store, so that you get to know the items and how much they are worth. Even the fastest internet connection cannot stop you from buying the wrong items!

The best way to learn about the items you are going to buy is trial and error. Give it a go, and when you have bought the item check its value by looking at other players shops. If the value is less than you paid, then you will know for next time (and I guarantee you wont forget that item!)

Here are some more tips to keep in mind:

You dont need a gigantic shop to sell your items. They only cost unnecesary Pbs that could be spent somewhere else.

Keep plenty of money with you at all times. You never know when that special item might turn up!

You can only buy a maximum of 160 items per day (from the wholesale stores, that is), so be careful of what you buy. (Even though 160 items is usually enough to tire anybody out!)

Choose your restocking specialty store wisely. If you have a slower internet connection, go for a quieter store such as the medication outlet. That means you will have less competition, and a better chance of earning Pbs.

Research! If you dont have enough Pbs to throw away by trial and error, do a check on the item first. Next time it turns up you will know whether to avoid it or buy it.

Stick to it. Its hard at first, because many of the items are new to you. Just keep trying and eventually you will be one of the pro's (heh, and you can sit back and watch while those poor newbies fight over the last scalpal).

Top Ten Powerbuck-Making Schemes

10. Be refferred to Powerpets. If you havnt already got an account on Powerpets you can start out with 5000 Pbs instead of 1000. Follow someones refferal banner (or something like that) and you can earn them money too.

9. Try your luck (or wisdom) on the POWEX stock exchange. A little bit of research and well invested PBs may go a long way! (its still a little risky).

8. Playing Games. Choose a game that you are good at and enjoy playing, this is a great way for some quick PBs and doesnt require too much effort.

7. Write a Book. If you are a good writer, submit a book to Powerpets. If they accept it you will earn money everytime someone reads it.

6.Refferrals. Sign friends up to Powerpets and earn PBs when they play. Just remember that you wont earn any money if they are inactive (or they dont come online very often).

5. Design an Item and submit it to Powerpets (webmaster@powerpets.com). If they want to use your item they will pay you in PBs. Im dont know how much they pay, but I'm sure they will make it worth while.

4. Invest Your PBs. The banks are there for a reason, and they can really help you to earn pbs. Take advantage of the high interest rates on long term savings accounts and the dosh will roll in! You will need to save up a minimum of 100,000 Pbs before doing this, and it wont be available to you while its in the bank, so make sure you dont put it all in at once.

3. Restocking. If you have a fast enough internet connection, restocking is a great way to earn PBs. Read my restocking guide for tips on how to maximise your profits.

2. Collect those freebies!

1. Save Your Pbs. The more you have, the more you can make out of them. There is nothing easier than spending those hard-earned Pbs so this is by far the hardest part - but if you stick to it you will have that item you are saving for in no time!

Transferring PBs

By transferring your PBs from temporary accounts to one main account (instead of cheating on the main account) you can keep the main account unfrozen and keep the Pbs.
Set up trades/swaps then log into your temp account and offer the amount of money you want to transfer.
Its easy to do and will keep your main account safe!

You need to download Artmoney for this game hack.

Mini Match (To Change Your Score)

Load the game and begin playing. After you score a few points search type: float value: (your current score). Get some more points and filter type: float value (your current score). Add the addresses you end up with and change their values to whatever you like (try to make it believable and below the max score of 10,000.

Game Score Hack

Go to the games area and open Tsearch (or something like it). Play any game, then search for your score on Tsearch (type : double). If more than one find comes up, play the game again and make sure you score higher or lower thn before and search again. Take whatevers left and make its value super high but try to stay within max score.
You will get iced if you are caught doing this, so dont make it too extreme (but if you really have to, try transferring the PBs to a seperate account).

Freebies

Freebies are a great way to earn PBs when you first start out. These are some quick links to popular freebies.

Padams Shack - You can visit every 2 hours and recieve a free item each time.

The Northern Woods -

There are three kinds of slime you could get here.
Radioactive Slime (can be sold for 250 PBs), Super Radioactive Slime (1000 PBs) & Ultra Radioactive Slime (2500 PBs). Defintiely worth while! You can visit every three hours.

Heart Breaker Time Again

Its valentines month on power pets; and who doesn't love that game? Simply prick the two fake Noras and win, easy huh? Ha! During six months of the year you can play a free game (similar to this one, but they are all different).

In April its the Bunny Game.
Dune Digger is played in August and July.
Trick or Treat in October (ofcourse!) - visit the halloween witch and get a treat!
and Winteroo can be played in December by visiting Lil'Roo and defrosting the igloos.
